The women of Lenasia Tennis Association are a vibrant, diverse and inspiring part of our tennis community. With around 30 ladies actively playing tennis, our women’s section brings together players of different ages, backgrounds and playing levels. From ladies enjoying tennis socially to those competing at a higher level, there is a place for everyone on our courts.
Our competitive spirit is proudly represented by approximately 15 ladies who represent Lenasia Tennis Association in league competitions sanctioned by Joburg Tennis, taking on clubs from across the region and proudly wearing our club colours.
What makes our women’s tennis community particularly special is that age is never a barrier. Majority of our players are over 40, with some of our wonderful ladies continuing to compete and enjoy the game well into their 60s. They are a testament to the fact that tennis is not simply a sport for a season of life — it is a sport for life.
Beyond the matches and competition, our women’s section is built on friendship, camaraderie and community. The courts are a place where women come together, encourage one another, challenge themselves, share a laugh and create friendships that extend far beyond the baseline.
